My 1st Mac Lipstick | Costa Chic

My sister got me a Mac voucher for Christmas and I decided to treat myself to a lipstick since I didn't already own one, I wanted to go for something versatile that I could wear during the day but would also look good for special occasions. I finally decided on Costa Chic.

Costa Chic is a frost finish lipstick, which creates a shimmering look and catches the light beautifully creating that frosted feel. It feels moisturising and hasn't dried out my lips while wearing it which is a plus :)

The colour is beautiful for Spring and Summer and I can't wait to wear it on holiday when I've got a bit of a tan. I would described it as a juicy pink coral and is a lovely girly shade that is suitable to wear during the day :) I've even worn it on a night out with a golden brown smokey eye.

NOTD | DIY Speckled Nails

So I've seen a lot of pictures and posts on the new Illamasqua I'mperfection collection and a lot of focus on the gorgeous speckled nail polishes :) I love the look of them and I think that it's a lovely change from glittery nails (which I'll never get bored of anyway) but as I'm on a budget I thought I'd try and see what I could come up with from what I already own!

I used Barry M Peach Melba, Rimmel Sweet as Sugar, some random black glitter and an eyeliner to do a few extra big dots! What do you think?

It started with a kiss

I was always a little bit curious about the make up products at Lush and was interested in trying the lip tints after seeing my friend wearing one. It looked so lovely on and I was lucky enough to receive one as a birthday present :)

The colour I got is called "It started with a kiss", it's a beautiful bold red with a subtle orange tone running through it. They come in a little metal tin which I think is really cute :) the website says its apple and cinnamon and I can definitely smell the cinnamon which I love!

These aren't just colour products though, its a combination of balm and colour so it looks after your lips while making you look lovely! It keeps my lips feeling moisturised so I really like it. Even though the website says its a subtle hint of colour I would say that its quite pigmented for a balm, you can even build it up it you want a brighter look.

Review | Liz Earle Skincare

I received these two products for Christmas and my birthday in Janurary and I wanted to use them all up before I wrote a review about them so that I would know more about the product and the effects it has had on my skin, after all, what would be the use of writing a skincare review after a week?

I have to confess, that I've never been that good at taking care of my skin, and if I'm perfectly honest, it really shows. I've always got a few blemishes and my skins never clear, it does get me down and the fact that I'm 23 and still have bad skin really frustrates me. 

I'm sick of it, I'm ready to do something about it.

And I think Liz Earle can help me.

Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

I absolutely LOVED using this! I apply it over a dry face or over my make up at the end of the day and massage it in to my skin, it smells divine and contains eucalyptus which is my favourite smell ever! I usually hate washing my face but I really enjoyed taking my make up off with this and it encouraged me to take my make up off at the end of the day which is obviously so much better for my skin. This 100ml tub lasted me 3 months, which I don't think is too bad but I may have used more than necessary when cleansing so if I used a little bit less I think it would last me even longer. 

After you've applied the cleanser you run your muslin cloth under hot water and polish off the cleanser, I also enjoyed this step as I felt it was really cleansing my skin. Then you splash your face with cool water, I think this is to close your pores. Which is an important step as this will have been opened with the hot water so that the cleanser can get to work.

After using the Hot Cloth Cleanser my skin feels revitalised and fresh and smells great!

Instant Boost Skin Tonic

I apply this to my skin using a cotton pad and it ensures that all traces of make up are removed and that your skin is left feeling radiant! This smell beautiful as well; clean, fresh with a hint of floral. 

Overall, I have really enjoyed using these products and will be repurchasing them :) You can buy Liz Earle at selected stores and online if you fancy trying them out. I recently spied they've started stocking it at John Lewis in Newcastle so I know where I will be getting my fix!

I noticed that my skin improved when I used them more consistently so I will be making more of an effort in future :)

How cute is this bottle?!

I got this as a gift for my birthday in a non serious way but I've been using it and it actually works! 

It smells sweet and fruity, and it makes brushing my bleached and damaged hair after washing much easier! 

The big spray pump spread out the formula really well so even though this was just a bit of fun, I've found it really useful :)

my make up brushes | bdellium

My sister spoils me sometimes, but I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened this brush set at Christmas!! 

This brush set comes from bdellium tools and is part of the green bambu series. They're eco-friendly make up brushes, the handles are made from sustainable bamboo and the brushes are vegan soft synthetic; they're 100% cruelty free and hypoallergenic.

The set that I got was the Mineral Brush Set and it included 5 different brushes. They're all super soft and easy to use, and the fact that they're green (my favourite colour) makes it easier to clean them because you can see when you've got rid of all the make up on them.

#959B Powder Blending

I use this to apply my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, it's big and soft and works perfectly for powder.

#942B Slanted Contour

This brush is brilliant for applying bronzer, the slanted style works in the contours of my face to create a natural bronzed look :)

#934B Precision Concealer

I love this brush! I was using a small concealer brush prior to this which was a lot stiffer. The longer length creates and softer application and it blends in really well.

#787B Large Tapered Blending

This brush is great for blending eyeshadow, particularly when used on the crease of the eye socket for creating that perfect smokey eye :)

#778B Large Shadow

A beautifully soft shadow brush, the size allows you to cover more of your eyelid quicker and it blends in smoothly.

My sister purchased this set from Zoe and Louise's shop, Louella.

Money Supermarket | Passion for Fashion

When I spotted this competition on the Money Supermarket website I knew that I had to give it a go, I love creating wish list/outfit style posts especially when they're around a specific theme.

Money Supermarket want you to create 3 outfits for under £200 each and the three looks are casual wear, party wear and holiday wear. Exciting!!

Since I managed to get an outfit for under £20 I knew that I could do this! I went all out to make sure I had thought of every thing for an outfit and spent as much of the £200 as possible :)

As well as a flash of neon from the watch and fresh white nail colour which is great for spring summer. :) I have this bag in plain beige and it fits sooo much stuff in it's amazing!

I chose this gorgeous skater style dress because its a flattering shape that suits everyones shape but the cut out detail makes it a bit different from the regular skater dresses that you would wear during the day :) I've paired it with a lot of black accessories and hints of gold to create a more glamorous feel! The aztec print on the clutch just adds a little something extra while still fitting in with the colours of the rest of the outfit.

Look how much I managed to get!? This board makes me want to go on holiday soo much :) I put together an easy outfit for over a bikini, 2 pairs of shoes so you can go from beach to bar. The pack of belts mean you can change the look slightly, the sunglasses mean no mascara and the bright red pout will look beautiful with a tan! The BB cream is great for light coverage on holiday and also has SPF 25 :) I love the bronze metallic nail polish I think this will look so good on holiday!!
